Trying to live a clean life can feel overwhelming at times. Between foraging for real food, sourcing non-toxic cleaning products, eliminating chemicals from our personal care products and all other areas of our lives - it is easy to feel like throwing your hands up in the air in frustration and exhaustion. I am always looking for products that I can recommend to you which will make your endeavors to live a simple, clean life easier. When ECO at Heart contacted me to try out their straws, I jumped at the opportunity! In an attempt to reduce my use of disposable straws, I had purchased some cheery, colorful straws...but they were still plastic. While this may be a better choice than single use plastic straws, I knew there had to be a better way which brings me to ECO at Heart.
The straws arrive in a recyclable container which shows they are thinking about their total effect on the environment from product to packaging. I had a few criteria when searching for a reusable straw; non plastic, non toxic, large enough for thicker drinks like smoothies, easy to clean and dishwasher safe. ECO at Heart met all these requirements. The only criticism I have is that their cleaner brush could be a little bit wider although this has not been an issue for me yet. I make sure to quickly rinse my straw after use and then just pop it into the dishwasher - I don't even need to use the brush!
I use a straw almost every day with my protein shake, and ECO at Heart's stainless steel straws have been a great way to feel like I am reducing my plastic straw needs.
